Climbing up the Walls

Yesterday I went to an awesome rock climbing with a friend at a gym called stoneworks, located in old grain silos in Carrollton, TX.  It was an amazing experience.  The interior of the space is really stunning.  Their routes are a good range of difficultly (from what I could tell), but as a beginner I still found a few that I was able to handle.  I may sign up for classes and try to visit this place once a week.

QuakeCON gone

I'm sort of regreting missing QuakeCON, which took place last weekend.  I'm not a hard-core gamer or anything.  Actually, recently I haven't been playing very many games, except on my DS.  But back in the day, I did clock my fair share of hours playing DOOM, Half-Life and UT.  I think attending the con would have been a cool throwback for me, plus I'd have been interested in seeing some of the vendors and contests.  I wonder what they would have thought if I'd have rolled in with my macbook pro?

Litter Cleaner, and Cat Entertainment

So far the most facinating part of the Litter Robot we purchased is the cats reaction when it cleans.

They won't go inside yet (well, unless I put them in), but once inside they don't seem too freaked out. We've kept the old litter boxes around, but not for long.

Andrew's Distributing New Logo in Neon Lights

My friend the designer Brandon DeLoach created the new logo for Andrew's Distributing.

The logo was recently reproduced as a very nice Neon Sign.

Our friends at the Internet sketch comedy troupe Curious People for a Curious America have released a video.  Myself and Hottie Mc. Cuteness helped out as extras.

tevas that protect your toes

I am a long-time wearer of the classic teva sport sandel.  I like the confort this style of footwear affords, while remaining versitile.  When it comes to making the case against other sport sandels, such as keens, the argument has been made that tevas don't "protect your toes" from hortizontal collisions.  Well, now teva has come out with a curved front toe design which should help -- and, I still think their are stylish.

Loss of Time Art Show

My friend the illustrator and photographer Tania Kaufmann is showing her work at the Magnolia Theatre on May 29, 2008.

She recently collaborated with writer P.J. Kryfko on a short story called Amorphous and did the title for David Hopkins' multi-illustrator-contributation comic book Mine All Mine.
